Another morning, another bong rip, another slime.
A little over a month ago, I purchase Sakura Soda from Momo as my second slime ever. I love Japanese/Korean/Chinese sweet themes and Sakura is my second favorite ramune flavor (melon will always win) so I snagged this little pink beauty for I wanna say 17.99 or somewhere close and it came in about a week.
It's a float slime, so a clear base with an Icee topper. The clear base is ramune scented (love this scent) and the icee is scented like Sakura blossoms and both are perfect and light so when they're mixed you aren't holding a wad of Weapon Grade Perfume in your hand. The clear bit is a very lovely pink color with a fake cherry blossom in it and the topper is white. The slime comes with a little bottle charm and some glitter for the top!!
This slime is so pretty to put together. Fluff up the icee, set it on top and put on the add-ins. It's perfect for pictures. Momo knows how to make slimes MADE for Instagram haha. Like, it matches so well with the label. When mixed together, the slime becomes a translucent pink jelly/slush hybrid that is one of the most interesting textures I've ever played with. It holds its shape and falls like a jelly but it has a soft and sizzly texture when squished. I can't describe it articulately but I'm obsessed.
Again, it's a flat-top container so when you add the second part, the slime no longer fits in the container unless you have an extra. The icee part comes separate, so I just scooped some out and have it stored in there. It's still annoying but I'm just one woman online yelling about flat tops.
9/10 overall, only knocking a point for the container.
Now for the next part: I haven't touched this slime in a bit and wanted to see how it turned out. After a disaster with Momo's Taro Milk Tea, I've been hesitant to open some of my slimes that have just been sitting but thank GOD I can say this one didn't melt or get stupid sticky even just sitting around for a few weeks. I store my slimes in a cool, dark place and they seem to hold up nicely. I popped Sakura open and started poking and it's only minimally sticky, hooray! A little activator and we're good to go.
I friggin love Momo's slimes so much. I am always surprised by how consistent they are!!! This review was a little shorter and more on the rambly side but I hope it was enjoyable. Tomorrow will be Konpeito Crystals by BlushingBB and I am going to need some liquor for it.
